Show Notes

The Window of Tolerance is a term derived from the field of Neuroscience which is the scientific study of the nervous system. In 1999, Dr. Dan Siegel, a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, coined the term in his book The Developing Mind, to describe the best state of arousal or stimulation in which we are able to function and thrive in everyday life. In other words, how much stimulation can we take from our environment before we reach our tipping point? This episode provides grounding techniques that help to assist with regulating our window of tolerance.
